PC-Lumber™ Epoxy Putty is pre-measured and mixed by hand. It is used as a filler where a small amount will solve the problem. Within 60 minutes it is cured and ready. The putty can be easily formed and shaped.

How to prepare damaged wood for filling with PC-Lumber™
Remove loose or peeling paint, dust and dirt before applying. Wood damaged by decay, termites and weathering should be hardened or removed. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If necessary, remove loose paint with a scraper, sandpaper or wire brush.
Oil and grime can be lifted with a solvent such as denatured alcohol, acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner. Mild detergent in water is also good removing some contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use mineral spirits or paint thinner for removing contaminants.
How to clean-up after PC-Lumber™ application
Wear disposable gloves to minimize skin contact. Soap and warm water can clean epoxy from hands. Use denatured alcohol, acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner to clean surfaces before PC-Lumber cures. Cured epoxy can be removed surfaces with sandpaper or by applying paint remover or paint stripper.

Does PC-Lumber™ accept wood stain?
PC-Lumber™ will accept stain after sanding. Solid stains are recommended.
What is the best way to repair loose screw threads?
Drill a pilot hole into cured PC-Lumber™ or it may be easier to set the screw into the mixed PC-Lumber and cure in place.
How soon can PC-Lumber™ be sanded?
PC-Lumber™ can be sanded after 60 minutes cure.
Can PC-Lumber™ be used for exterior applications?
PC-Lumber™ is not affected by dampness or water. Paint exterior applications to protect from weathering by UV light.
Is PC-Lumber™ shapeable?
PC-Lumber™ can be shaped, molded or sculpted in to any shape. It is excellent for repair to decorative molding and antique wood clocks.

How to prepare a surface for bonding with PC-Lumber™
Remove contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil and grime with a solvents such as denatured alcohol, acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner. Mild detergent solution in water is also good removing contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use mineral spirits or paint thinner for removing contaminants.
Remove rust and loose paint with sandpaper or wire brush. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper or wire brush.
Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion.
How to clean-up after PC-Lumber™ application
Wear disposable gloves to minimize contact with skin. Use denatured alcohol, acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner to cleanup before PC-Marine cures. Clean hands and skin with soap and water.
Cured epoxy can be removed by applying paint remover or paint stripper to soften the epoxy surface. Scratch off the softened epoxy. Repeat as needed.
How soon should PC-Lumber™ be sanded?
PC-Lumber™ can be sanded after 60 minutes cure.
Does PC-Lumber™ accept wood stain?
PC-Lumber™ will accept stain after sanding. However, the type and color of the stain will have a different effect on the PC-Lumber™ than the surrounding wood. Stained PC-Lumber™ will not have the natural tone of wood. Various colors of paint and stain markers make it possible to conceal or camouflage areas filled with PC-Lumber™.
What is the best way to repair stripped threads?
Rather than try cutting or tapping threads into cured PC-Lumber™ it is better to set the screw into the mixed epoxy and cure in place. If removal is required apply a release agent to the screw threads prior to setting in place.
Can PC-Lumber™ be used for exterior applications?
PC-Lumber™ is not affected by dampness or water. Exterior applications should be protected from damage by UV with a suitable exterior coating.
How thick can PC-Lumber™ be applied?
PC-Lumber™ can be applied in any thickness. It does not shrink or dry.
Is PC-Lumber™ shapeable?
PC-Lumber™ can be shaped, molded or sculpted in to any shape. It is excellent for repair to decorative molding and antique wood clocks.
There is a halo effect around the cured PC-Lumber™?
Apply the stain before filling with PC-Lumber™.
The PC-Lumber™ does not resemble the surrounding wood
PC-Lumber™ does not have the same natural colors as real wood. Use paint markers or use other stain colors to disguise the repair. Natural grains in the wood are difficult to match.
PC-Lumber™ does not look like a knot in the wood. It is too light and staining does not improve its appearance
Use an opaque type of stain or paint.
